We are at the Hacktoberfest!
If you are a developer, an Open Source lover then this is surely the place to be this October. Join over 20 million developers in solving coding challenges by Pepipost at the Hacktoberfest. Pepipost’s participation in the Hacktoberfest is part of the #DevelopersMonth celebrations – a month dedicated to the developer community in recognition to their contribution to the world.

What is Hacktoberfest?
Hacktoberfest, an event organized by Digital Ocean in partnership with GitHub, is a month-long celebration encouraging developers to contribute in Open Source. This annual event started 4 years back and draws enthusiastic participation from beginners and veterans alike year on year.
How to participate in Pepipost Coding Challenge at Hacktoberfest?
Take part in Pepipost’s Coding Challenge by contributing to Open Source projects that are listed on GitHub. Different types of coding challenges such as fixing bugs, creating new features, and writing documentation are listed here. For the beginners, there’s a bunch of entry-level challenges waiting for you to grab. And the seasoned ones not be left out, we have some real tough challenges to crack.
Here’s the step-by-step guide:
Step 1: Sign up on Hacktoberfest by 31st October 2017 to contribute
New to GitHub? Fret not, here’s a quick guide to learn the tools first
Step 2: Choose the challenge(s) you can to crack on Pepipost repositories.
Step 3: Make pull requests (PR). Only PRs done during the period of Oct 1- 31st count in the Hacktoberfest. Once you start, there’s no stopping you. You can submit as many PRs as you wish to 🙂
Fineprint: If a maintainer reports your PR as spam, or if you violate the project’s Code of Conduct, you will be ineligible to participate in Hacktoberfest
Step 4: Close the issues
Tip: Make most of the event. Connect with fellow developers and Open Source contributors by using the hashtag #Hacktoberfest.

- WordPress: Avoiding clashes with other plugins – difficulty: medium – Standarised the JS/CSS files included and their usage in the Pepipost WordPress plugin to avoid clashes with other installed wordpress plugins like Woocommerce.
- C#: App in Heroku to send emails using Pepipost C# SDK– difficulty: medium to hard- Create a tutorial to deploy a simple Email Sending App on Heroku with C# using this SDK
- C#: Create a Nudget package for Pepipost C# SDK– difficulty: medium- Create a Nudget for Pepipost C# SDK sp that it eases the pain of developers to download and complie the code to run for sending emails from your application.
